of the Georgian era

Thackray Medical Museum, Leeds, Saturday, 1st February

Group Travel Organisers are being invited to join a FREE SEMINAR to learn about the 300th anniversary of the Georgian era at the 2014 Tourism & Events Showcase (TES) on Saturday, 1st February at the Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds.

Hosted by specialist group tour operator, Golden Compass, the presentation will explore Germany’s Royal Heritage Route, which marks the accession of King George I to the throne of Great Britain and Ireland in 1714 and the start of the Hanoverian connection with Britain. During the 18th and 19th centuries  German and British royal families continued to be intertwined with many marriages bringing the two countries ever closer together.

Golden Compass is offering custom tour itineraries to visit the magnificent palaces, castles and gardens in Hanover and nearby cities and towns, taking in special exhibitions and events organised for 2014 bringing to life the Royal links between the UK and Germany.

Starting at 1.30pm, places at the seminar are limited to 30 with a maximum of two per organisation; tea/coffee and biscuits will be served at the start of the event.
