Now in it’s fifth successful year, the show took place on Saturday 31st January 2015 at the National Railway Museum in York.
Visitors were able to enjoy the National Railway Museum itself alongside the show and attend two presentations about the history of rail travel and the area’s visitor attractions.
Dawn Theaker, from the NRM said, ‘It was great to share our museum with a fantastic variety of exhibitors and delegates. This highly successful networking event allowed us to highlight our upcoming exhibitions and events and everyone was keen to learn more about our new Winston Churchill exhibition and upcoming theatre productions including the highly successful The Railway Children with York Theatre Royal’.
The event was the fifth of the series of group and travel trade showcases held in Yorkshire following the previous successful ones at Harewood House, Doncaster Racecourse, the National Mining Museum and the Thackray Medical Museum.
Plans are now being made for next year’s event with a number of potential venues under consideration. Further suggestions to host TES 2016 would be welcomed by Julie Hart.
